Cooking with Kids!

Cooking with Kids and why it's important to include your children in daily kitchen activities

Last fall I took a cooking class with my son and it was some of the best one-on-one time I’ve ever had with him. One year later, he still asks me when our cooking class will start again and his interest in the kitchen is only growing stronger as he gets older. For his birthday this year, we got him an awesome cooking set from Curious Chef (you can find it here) with real knives and utensils so he can cook right alongside me… and I’m slowly trusting him to do more and more. A win-win for both of us!

These experiences got me thinking, there have to be dozens of kids out there who love to cook but parents have no time for patience in the kitchen. I know, homework needs to get done, soccer practice is starting, and it’s getting too late to worry about the mess before bed. Busy mother, look no further, here are some of my top recipes that include simple steps for kids.
